1. Who we are and scope

The controller responsible for this Policy is MakeevApps s.r.o., IČO 24428582, DIČ CZ24428582, Kaprova 42/14, 110 00 Praha 1, Czech Republic ("MakeevApps", "we", "us", or "our").

This Policy applies to Find My: Phone, Watch, Earbuds (package com.ua.makeev.antitheft), its Wear OS companion, and its web portal (together, the "Service"). Older versions and some screens may use the shortened or legacy name "Find My Phone" or "Find Device".

2. Data we handle

Some information processed only on your device is not "collected" by MakeevApps. If you use the web portal or cross-device features, the data needed for that feature is transmitted to our server or between your phone and paired Wear OS device.

3. Background location

Background location is optional. The app displays a prominent disclosure before requesting background access, and Android asks you to grant the permission separately. You can deny or revoke location access in Android Settings. Location-dependent features will then stop working or become less reliable; Bluetooth proximity search can continue where Android permits it without location access.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We do not display third-party ads, send marketing newsletters, upload customer lists, or use account or location data for advertising. Limited Analytics identifiers and events may be used to measure and attribute MakeevApps' own Google Ads campaigns.

5. Service providers and disclosure

We disclose only the data necessary for the relevant purpose to:

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We do not provide personal data to data brokers. Transfers to service providers are limited to operating and protecting the Service under their applicable terms and data-protection obligations.

6. International transfers

MakeevApps is established in the Czech Republic, but Google/Firebase and infrastructure providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or another lawful safeguard. See Firebase privacy and security information for details about Firebase processing locations and safeguards.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep data only for the periods described in Section 2 or as needed for the stated purpose. We may retain narrowly limited records for longer when required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or other legal obligations. When retention is no longer required, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized. Provider backups may expire on the provider's documented schedule.

You can initiate account deletion in the app under Settings → account → Delete account, or follow the external process on our Delete account and data page. Account deletion removes the account, account-specific profile, settings, device registrations, purchase-verification data, pending location requests, and Firebase Authentication account. It also removes server location history and current device state for the devices registered with that account. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete the account. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.

The same physical device may be registered with more than one account. Deleting one account does not delete another account, but the shared device's server location history and current state are removed and may disappear from a remaining account until the active device uploads a new state. An FCM token may remain while the device is registered with another account so that service messages continue to work. Server error and login-error records may retain an IP address, email address, or device ID for no longer than 7 days after account deletion solely for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting; they are not used to provide ordinary account features during that period.

8. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risks of processing. These measures reduce, but cannot eliminate, security risks, and we do not guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing your devices and the credentials used to access the Service. MakeevApps does not receive or store your Google password. Security concerns relating to your Find My account or personal data processed by MakeevApps may be reported to find.phone.app@gmail.com. Issues relating solely to your Google Account should be directed to Google. If a personal data breach occurs, we will investigate and take the steps required by applicable law.

9. Your choices

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Where the conditions of Article 20 GDPR apply, you may request the personal data you provided to us and that we process by automated means on the basis of your consent or our contract, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve your concern. This does not affect your right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority, including the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).

To exercise a right, email find.phone.app@gmail.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that the request concerns your account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

California and other U.S. state residents may submit the same access, correction, or deletion requests. Because we do not sell personal data or share it for targeted advertising, there is no separate "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out process.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. A minor who has not reached the age at which they may independently enter this agreement or consent to data processing in their country may use the Service only with permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided personal data without valid authorization, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the Service, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available at this URL. Where applicable law requires additional notice of a material change, we will provide it through the Service or another appropriate channel before the change takes effect, to the extent required by law.
