Delete through the web portal
- Sign in to the Web portal.
- Open the Account menu next to My Devices.
- Select Delete account.
- Review what will be removed and confirm by selecting Delete account again.
You must be signed in. Deletion starts immediately after confirmation and permanently signs you out of the web portal.
Delete in the mobile app
- Open Find My: Phone, Watch, Earbuds on your phone.
- Open Settings and select your account.
- Select Delete account and confirm the request.
The in-app process is available to signed-in, non-anonymous accounts and starts deletion immediately after confirmation.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in to the app or web portal, email us from the address associated with your account. Include the account email and state that you want the account and associated data deleted. Do not send your password, Google password, purchase token, or payment-card information.
We may ask for limited information to verify ownership and prevent unauthorized deletion. We normally complete a verified email request without undue delay and no later than 30 days, unless applicable law permits an extension. We will confirm completion by email where possible.
What deletion removes
- Your MakeevApps account and profile information.
- Authentication links and server-side account tokens.
- Registered-device associations and synchronized device settings for the deleted account.
- Current device state, current and historical server locations for the registered devices, and pending location requests for the deleted account.
- Purchase/subscription verification data associated with the account.
- Your Firebase Authentication account.
Locally stored app data is cleared during the in-app deletion flow. If you delete your account through the web portal or request deletion by email, uninstall the app or clear its storage on each device to remove remaining local data.
The same physical device may be registered with more than one account. Deleting your account does not delete another account, but the shared device's server location history and current state are removed and may disappear from the remaining account until the active device uploads a new state.
Data that may be retained
We may retain narrowly limited information when required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or another legal obligation. Such information is isolated from ordinary product use, kept only for the required period, and then deleted or anonymized. Copies in service-provider backups expire under the provider's documented backup lifecycle.
Server error and login-error records expire automatically within 7 days. If the same device remains registered with another account, its FCM messaging token remains so that service messages for that account continue to work; it is removed when the device is no longer registered with any account or the token is replaced.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Subscription cancellation is separate
Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in Google Play subscriptions to prevent future renewal charges.
